Minnesota Medical Management Group Association Hosts Successful Summer Conference in Duluth, Minn.

Four hundred professionals from the medical clinic industry attended the annual MMGMA Summer Conference, July 30-Aug. 1 in Duluth, Minn.  The three-day conference, titled Leaders Lighting the Way, included sessions on some of the most challenging topics faced by medical clinic professionals today.  Session topics included operations, risk management, human resources, IT, marketing and more.

A prominent feature at the Conference was a panel discussion by five Master’s Level Health Care students from the University of St. Thomas presenting business cases for health care solutions.  Also at the conference,  MMGMA re-introduced to Conference attendees their Exhibitor Demo sessions, which give MMGMA business partners the opportunity to showcase their products and services to conference attendees.

Members were also informed of the new Certificate in Advanced Health Care Management developed by MMGMA in partnership with the University of St. Thomas.  The courses work to address the business side of health care.  The certificate is a series of monthly, one-day advanced programs devoted to significant and emerging issues in the delivery of health care.  Programs in this series may be taken as individual, stand-alone programs or participants can complete all nine programs to receive a certificate.
