The Harrington Company Honored After a Generous Donation to the City of Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The Harrington Company will be honored by the city of Minneapolis for its generous donation of 60 original photographs from Wing Young Huie’s Lake Street USA project. Originally, these photos were created for an exhibition at the Walker Art Center in 1999 titled Dialogues: Paul Beatty/Wing Young Huie. Lake Street USA is considered one of the most monumental public art efforts in the history of the city. In 2009, The Harrington Company donated these photographs to the City of Minneapolis and today, these photographs are on display at the City of Minneapolis’ Public Service Center.

To publicly thank The Harrington Company, the City of Minneapolis has scheduled an opening celebration with tours by the artist Wing Young Huie on Monday, June 13, 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m., at the Public Service Center. Refreshments will be served by a variety of respected Lake Street establishments including Salt Tart, Gandhi Mahal, Grass Roots Gourmet, Manny’s Tortas and Barbette.

The Public Center is located at 250 South 4th Street in Minneapolis.
