www.westerncaptiveconference.org

The Arizona Captive Insurance Association (AzCIA) and the Utah Captive Insurance Association (UCIA) recently bucked the trend of holding individual annual conferences by copartnering to create the Western Region Captive Insurance Conference (WRCIC).

AzCIA and UCIA saw a way to grow their smaller individual conferences and save their members time and money by offering a joint event as an alternative to their traditional individual annual conferences. Together as the WRCIC, these organizations produced the “2010 Western Captive Round-up,” the first regional captive insurance conference of its kind held in the U.S. Most recently, the Missouri Captive Insurance Association has agreed to join WRCIC in partnership with AzCIA and UCIA for their 2011 conference in Salt Lake City, UT.

This joint conference format provided members of each association and others in the global captive community with increased educational and networking opportunities, greater visibility and access to a larger number of prospective clients and captive experts, while helping them minimize the cost of attending multiple conferences to achieve these overall benefits.
